Kat and Mahmoud had a beautiful home wedding in Sandbridge, Virginia! We were extremely worried about how the wedding would actually turn out due to the weather. It was pouring down rain when I arrived at the location, hard enough to where I needed an umbrella for the walk from my car to the front door. Everyone was behind getting ready and were trying to plan and put together a backup plan for the ceremony to happen under the deck. the bridesmaids and I frantically checking the radar while getting everyone ready and me snapping behind the scenes and detail shots.
We watch the last little green dot on the screen roll over our location and cross our fingers that it will disappear soon. Thankfully, it did exactly that! The rain became a sprinkle just in time for me to photograph the groom’s party and outdoor details before the ceremony. The clouds split open and let the beautiful sunshine right through emitting a beautiful pink light that matched the flowers and wedding accents.
Emotions were everywhere, relief and excitement taking over the crowd and wedding parties. The ceremony started and it was absolutely stunning. Below are some highlights from their beautiful day!
